The B.Sc. Zoology CBCSS (2019) programme is a three-year undergraduate course designed under the Choice Based Credit and Semester System, providing a comprehensive understanding of animal biology through theory, practicals, research methodology, project work, field studies, and study tours. The programme is structured over six semesters, including core Zoology courses and complementary courses in Chemistry and Botany during the first four semesters, with opportunities for elective and skill-based courses. Evaluation is conducted through external University examinations and continuous internal assessment based on tests, assignments, seminars, and attendance. The course equips students with knowledge of animal structure, physiology, ecology, genetics, and evolution, practical laboratory and field skills, and prepares them for higher studies, research, teaching, and professional careers in life sciences, biotechnology, wildlife, and environmental management.
