The Tourism Club and Department of Tourism celebrated World Tourism Day 2025 with great enthusiasm. The programme was inaugurated by Mr. Vipin Chandra, DTPC Secretary, Malappuram, who highlighted the importance of sustainable and responsible tourism. The event featured Ms. Renji K. Raju, renowned travel vlogger, as the chief guest. She inspired students by sharing her travel experiences and insights into digital storytelling. The Department of Tourism organized a panel discussion titled “From Classroom to Career: Building Successful Paths in Tourism and Hospitality.” The session featured distinguished alumni members—Mr. Noufal Naheem, Mr. Nishad C.P., Mr. Jazim Hussain, and Ms. Shafna Salim—as panelists. They shared valuable insights on industry expectations, career growth, and skill development. The discussion provided students with practical guidance and real-world perspectives, motivating them to plan their professional journeys effectively within the tourism and hospitality sector.

The Tourism Club organized a Responsible Tourism Destination Visit to Nilambur as part of its experiential learning initiatives. Students explored key ecotourism spots and learned about sustainable practices implemented in the region. The visit highlighted community-based tourism, environmental conservation, and the role of local stakeholders in responsible destination management. Guided interactions and field observations helped students understand real-world applications of responsible tourism principles.
